The rates listed are for the use of the house and the grounds as well as use of the groom's changing room with restroom and bride's changing room with restroom. The fee also includes the use of cocktail tables and chairs. These are for use in the house or on the porch area. The rates do not include a tent or a caterer. A list of approved caterers and tent companies and other vendors may be obtained from the Site Manager or found on our website.

The serving of alcohol is limited to five consecutive hours, and the alcohol service must end one half-hour prior to the end of the event. When a ceremony is held on site, no alcohol may be served prior to the ceremony.

A deposit of $1200 is required with a signed contract to secure the date. The deposit is non-refundable. The balance is due sixty (60) days in advance of your wedding. All checks are made payable to the "State of Rhode Island." We do not accept credit cards.

The maximum number of guests for an inside event is approximately 80 for a cocktail reception, party or sit down dinner in separate rooms. The largest room will accommodate up to 50 for a sit down dinner. For parties of 85 or more a tent is required on the side lawn over looking the water. A Fire Detail will be required for events of 300 or more, the current rate is $55.00 per hour and is subject to change. The Chief of the Newport Fire Department will make the final determination on the number of Firefighters for the event.

The lessee is additionally responsible for paying Eisenhower House staff, at the rate of $22 per hour for ten (10) hours for a five-hour rental. The number of staff for a tented wedding is normally two (2). For an in-house event one or two are required this will be at the discretion of the site manager. The staff will be on site three hours prior to the wedding, they will be in charge of your caterer as well as any other vendors. Your caterer is allowed on site three hours prior to start of the event. The staff will also remain for two hours at the conclusion of the event for breakdown and cleanup.

Access to the Groom's Room and Bride's Room is available 2.5 hours prior to the wedding. The house has a women's restroom, a men’s restroom, and a family restroom on the first floor in addition to two unisex restrooms in a carriage house adjacent to the lawn area. A handicap lift is available to the first floor of the house.
